Size Charts & Measurements

Read garment size charts, compare consistent measuring points and prepare a clear CSSBuy warehouse measurement request for your selected item.

AT A GLANCE

Compare the exact listing’s size chart with a garment you own using matching measuring points. Record the intended size and send a specific warehouse measurement request when a dimension is missing.

Listing Size Charts & Intended Fit

CSSBuy’s ordering guide asks buyers to specify the intended size and colour. Select the exact listing option and repeat it clearly in the memo when needed. Keep the seller’s chart with that product; a similar item or a familiar size letter can describe a different cut.

Check whether the chart gives body measurements or finished-garment measurements. UNIQLO’s measurement guidance explains this distinction; its own size ranges are not a chart for the products in our directory.

Reference Garment Setup

Choose a reference that matches the intended use. A thin T-shirt is a poor stand-in for a jacket worn over a sweatshirt. Use a garment with a fit you already understand and record whether you want a similar outline, more layering room or a different length.

Lay the reference on a flat surface without pulling it into a larger shape. Fasten it as you intend to compare it and note whether a waistband or ribbed opening has been stretched. Photograph the measuring setup if you need another person to repeat it.

Record the reference dimensions once in a small checklist. Keep the unit beside every measurement so centimetres and inches cannot be mixed accidentally. Use a different row for each product and size under consideration.

Body Measurements & Garment Dimensions

Our comparison checklist starts with a similar garment you already wear comfortably. Record the relevant dimensions and compare them with the listing using the same unit and measuring points. Keep flat width separate from full circumference.

Width, Length and Measuring Points

Identify what each number describes before deciding whether it is larger or smaller. A flat width, a full circumference and a body recommendation are different measurements. A label reading chest or waist does not settle the method by itself.

For sleeves, establish whether the measurement starts at the shoulder seam or the centre back. For body length, ask where the tape starts and whether it follows the front or back. Compare like measurements before using them to judge the fit.

For trousers, keep waist, rise, thigh and inseam as separate checks. An acceptable waist figure cannot resolve a short inseam or a different rise. Record whether an elastic waist is relaxed or stretched when comparing it with your reference.

Size Comparison Example

Suppose your comfortable hoodie measures 58 cm across the chest and 68 cm in body length using your chosen method. Two hypothetical listing sizes show 60 × 68 cm and 60 × 74 cm. Both add 2 cm in flat chest width, while only the second adds body length. These are invented comparison values, not measurements of products in the catalogue.

The example shows why choosing a larger size letter cannot express the whole decision. First decide which dimension needs changing. Then check shoulders, sleeve measurements and the hem shape using the actual chart. For a dropped shoulder, a shorter sleeve figure can accompany a wider shoulder span, so the sleeve number alone may mislead.

Warehouse Measurement Requests

CSSBuy describes its inspection as general rather than exhaustive. If a measurement determines your decision, ask whether that measurement can be supplied for the received item and confirm any fee first. Specify the dimension, centimetres and endpoints, and request a photo with the tape visible.

For example: measure the waistband flat, edge to edge, without stretching. This is an example of a clear request, not a promise that every item or account includes a measurement service. If the tape placement differs from your reference, clarify the method before comparing the numbers.

Measurement Request Template

A useful request identifies the item and the measuring method: “For order [ID], please measure the garment laid flat, edge to edge below the armholes, in centimetres, without stretching. Please show both tape endpoints.” Ask whether the requested service is available and what it costs before authorising it.

If the answer differs from the chart, compare the tape placement first. Ask for clarification when the photo is angled, one endpoint is hidden or the garment is pulled unevenly. Keep any tolerance stated by that seller with the chart; another brand’s tolerance is not automatically a condition of this purchase.

Size Corrections & Purchase Stage

CSSBuy’s missing-option answer says to add the details in Remarks while the order is Pending, or contact the service by message or email when it is Confirmed. Use the options available in the current account interface and identify the order clearly.

If the seller has already dispatched the item, the exchange article says a change depends on seller agreement and exchange freight. Request the correction promptly and wait for confirmation. Do not assume that changing a note automatically changes an existing purchase.

Size Decision Record

Keep the selected option, seller chart, reference dimensions and any warehouse reply together. State the action you want if a mismatch matters: clarify the measurement, request an exchange or stop the parcel submission until the question is answered.

Before paying for dispatch, check that the approved size is the item included in the parcel. Preserve the label and measurement photos for that decision. If you choose to proceed despite an unresolved measurement, record what remains uncertain instead of changing the reference figure to make it appear to match.
